Training Directory - Short Courses

  

We class short courses as being for a maximum of 10 consecutive days.
The courses listed online are sub-divided according to content, or search for your chosen course.  Many of the providers have further details on the Centres and Providers pages.  For all courses assume that booking is required and a fee may be applicable

Typical courses range from map interpretation to countryside furniture building (stiles, gates and signs). Also includes navigation courses.

This includes areas such as software training, e.g. GIS; guide to Planning; contract management skills; budgeting, wildlife legislation, fundraising techniques

Community Engagement and Environmental Education

That's being trained in how to deliver community events and environmental education not the actual events themselves, also volunteer  management.

Practical training and theoretical workshops on digital photography and image manipulation. With an emphasis on landscape photography and the use of photography as a tool in identification.

Practical Countryside Skills - Machinery

Typical courses include: chainsaw certification, brush cutter and sprayer certification also tractor, 4x4 and MIDAS type driving courses. 

Training Calendar  of short courses is included in CJS Weekly (third edition of the month)  and in CJS Professional two months prior to the event, e.g. January editions include events in March
